The 2WD off-road car YZ-2CAL, which is specialized for carpet/artificial turf roads, has been upgraded to 3.1 and is now equipped with more practical equipment!

Although it is an upgrade, it is no exaggeration to call it a new machine as it is a newly designed part that spans the entire chassis. With the goal of improving stability in response to increased speeds due to the intensification of power sources, we have lengthened the chassis, changed the wheelbase of the steering hub carrier, and changed the rigidity balance by reviewing the front and rear parts configuration, all of which will lead to faster times. Achieving total balance.

The suspension has also been changed to the latest configuration, including a change to a 3mm shock shaft, and the suspension has been upgraded to provide better response, making it fully prepared for the 2022 season.

The steering hub carrier has been newly designed and the kingpin position of the steering block has been moved 1mm forward. Changes to the wheelbase and alignment further improve stability.

While inheriting the chassis rigidity design that matches the driving conditions of the carpet specification (CAL), the long-haul base provides highly stable driving performance and improved cornering speed.

The front lower suspension mount has a new shape made of steel, and by flipping the suspension mount over, you can now set the suspension pin position at the conventional height, as well as 1mm higher.

The front and rear shocks have the latest 3.0mm shaft specifications, allowing for smooth shock operation and responsive driving.

The bulkhead mount and side plate, which were previously separate parts, are now integrated. By increasing the rigidity of the front section, the sense of stability in steering operations has been dramatically increased.

On the other hand, around the rear, the rear mount base and upper arm mount, which were previously integrated, have been separated to improve traction by promoting rear flexibility.

Maintainability is also improved by making the upper arm mount a separate part. The differential can be accessed by simply removing the shock and 6 screws, making maintenance and setting changes easy.

The battery holder has also been newly designed, and the mounting method has been reviewed to increase rigidity. By flipping the holder, you can easily adjust the thickness from 1 cell size to regular short Li-po battery.

The rear shock tower has been updated to the latest specifications, allowing you to choose from five locations for mounting the damper on the upper side.

Front and rear suspensions are equipped with stabilizers as standard. Settings can be made to achieve cornering with reduced roll and improve maneuverability.
